Default Scent for Olive Oil lamps/candles

Has anyone found any scents - EO or FO - that stick in olive oil as it's burning as a cancle?

I have wondered about this! I know that the Greeks and Romans burned olive oil in lamps. They added salt to the oil which made the oil burn longer, somehow.

I just ordered some of these and I'm going to play with them a bit.

FWIW, I've not found anything that survives being burned. I had the most hope for sandalwood, but even that failed completely - at least in quantities I was willing to sacrifice.

The oil lamps themselves are very cool, though!

Thanks for the update. I thought they looked pretty cool, but suspected any fragrance would burn off. It would have been awesome if citronella would work for mosquito control on the deck in the summer.

Now that you mention it, citronella probably would work. I didn't try that.
