    Mood Effecting Soaping

OI! That's a bad one. Worst that has happened to me thus far was when I first tried rebatching in the crock and I fell asleep and it boiled over onto the counter. I'm not really in a hurry to try that any time soon. Thank you. I think the person that upset me was trying to be helpful but they...

Sorry to hear that your grandma passed. I hope that you were able to stop it before it became a huge disaster.

    Citrus Soap Challenge

I'd love to try with the lemon! My grams has a lemon tree and whenever it's full she dumps them off one me because I LOVE Lemonade. So I have a ton that I wanted to experiment with but as someone mentioned earlier the Soaping 101 video showed that wasn't going to work out. I'd love to try it...

    Mood Effecting Soaping

How is everyone's night going? Mine is going not so well. I'd really love to go off the deep end cursing and "hulking out" but I won't. Let's just say I'm repeating in my head that hate breeds hate and in order to bring positive things around one must be thinking positive things. I was going to...

Displays - Baskets, tiers and tables OH MY!

I want to sell at the local farmers market every weekend when it gets a little bit warmer. We've been threatened with snow tomorrow, which is unusual for the Los Angeles area. So cardboard probably won't be the best option but for a start I figured it could be ok. I have seen the displays that...

Of course! Almost every photo in that post is on my pinterest board.

    My first farmer's market

Correct me if I am wrong but they look homemade; like scrapbook paper cut to height and wrapped around the sides with an information card glued to the front. Here is an easy tutorial on Youtube.

Most fragrances need 1 oz per pd oils?

I haven't seen either one. Do you happen to have the info for the FO's that Rock?

Displays - Baskets, tiers and tables OH MY!

:wave:I am doing a bit of research on how to sell at craft fairs. I have NEVER sold at a craft fair and I can't tell you the last time I've gone to one. I think the Ren Faire is as close to a craft fair as I've come. I suppose that should count as they sell things they have made like jewelry...

Customer responses to using cell phones to process payments

This is actually spot on. I'm taking an online business course and I am a psychology major originally and this was something that has been talked about rigirously in both business and psychology. People don't see the cash in their hands so they don't miss it. If people come with only cash they...

    My first farmer's market

I was just brainstorming of a way to display soap in use and I was like "well taking a picture of me using the soap in the bathtub is a little too weird, even for me so how could I put a bath tub in my booth?" I was going to make one and then here you are with a tub on your display! How was...

Most fragrances need 1 oz per pd oils?

I'm going to try the orris root and see if that helps!

I love it. I was going to do something similar but I don't have a purple I like. I was going to use Alkenet root but I have to wait for it to ship to me. What did you use?

    Failed attempt on rebatching soap

I am not sure how I blundered my last batch of soap. It was the first time soap did not work out for me. I even had seized soap that turned out excellent even if it didn't come out the way I had planned it. My only difference was I was testing a new colorant. What was supposed to be black and...

    Fo's and discoloration

I was wondering if anyone has tried a vanilla stabilizer for CP to see if there is a way to counteract it like in MP. I've seen one that claims it helps in CP but I haven't been brave enough to test it yet. I just stay away from those FO or use the fact that they discolor to my advantage.

    Nervous about first craft fair

I recommend getting a few books from your local library or if you have a kindle some are only $.99. I have been doing that recently because one of my business goals is to go to sell at a craft fair within the next year. I have done lots of research on packaging and on setting up displays as at...

    Felting soap

You'll want wool roving. You'll most likely have to order it online. Luckily for me I have a local craft store that sells it in various different shades. I know the Michaels by me doesn't carry it and I have to go two towns over to the "super Joann's" for it. I would call your local stores to...

    Crocheted Soap Saver

Oh My! I'm glad you posted this. My mother is pretty handy with a crochet needle and she wanted to help me in some way so she thought she might crochet me some "soap bags." Now I can tell her not to use yarn! Has the wool yarn behaved better than the cotton? I bought some roving to felt a few...

    Tres Leches Soap

Ok, I thought you were melting Caramels. I don't know where anyone got peaches from. Sliced it looks like peanut butter and I really want to eat it. :p This happened with an unscented soap I did. My room mate thought I made giant slabs of white chocolate. I put out a sign that said "Do not eat"...
