Has anyone ever used vanilla bean in their cp soap. I have a few pounds of beans and would like to use them.

I am a a new soaper and have what could be a stupid question but here it goes. How do i know how much hardened soap a recipe will make? Do you just add up all the weights? Or is there some other way? Any help is appreciated. Thanks Ryan
