I'm not trying to recreate the retail Zum bar recipe. I'm interested, though, in the smell of their Sea Salt bar. They describe it as citrus, but it's not orange, or lemon... maybe lemongrass and something else? Can anyone help? Here's their link...
I've tried searching for the answer but haven't found it. I think carebear has mentioned how one should heat/melt large amounts of oil. I'm thinking of buying 50# of palm oil, but want to be sure I know how to deal with it once it arrives.

So I made a batch of CP last night... and I think I made a future re-batch instead of a successful batch of soap. :cry:
I went to unmold today, after ~18 hours in mold, and this is what I saw:

So I use a Cuisinart stick blender for my CP GM soap. I made a batch last night and noticed that my sb was getting pretty hot. Does anyone have any tips on best use practices? I don't want my blender burning out on my already. :oops:

I know that milk soaps will heat up more, but I really want to use PVC piping as a mould. My question is whether this is suitable and if so, how short should I cut the piping so as to prevent volcano soap?
