I have this book, too, and I'm pretty sure ALL those recipes are really lye heavy. I ran the "Vegetable Shampoo Bar" through SoapCalc last night and the numbers came up completely different. I'd say in the future, just use the same oils and plug in your own percentages, or amounts.

Why did no one tell me this??? I've been on there for, like, an hour, putting recipes together! How many test batches did you make when you were first starting out? How big should I make them? How many different recipes did you finally settle upon? I'm doing HP, if that matters.
