    Speed Up the Curing Process

Why does everyone want to speed up cure? I don't get that. If you read soap boards and make soap, you know it gets better as it ages. There is no real way to speed up time, and make it cure faster. Curing takes time. Yes, you can use HP soap quicker--it is fully saponified. So is CP...

DID I USE TOO MUCH ESSENTIAL OIL????LEMONGRASS HELP

I personally don't think you over did it--they are citrus EOs, you have no anchor---so they will fade tremendously. Wait a couple weeks, it will be very mild, scent wise.

    New WSP silicone mold

Thanks, Kellie  I am in a "EMBRACE THE BROWN" theme lately. That green/brown with chunks is scented citrus and pine, doesn't look perfect but smells quite good! I decided I love brown soap. The WSP order is going to be big---probably close to $1000--maybe more  Hope...

    New WSP silicone mold

I absolutely LOVE mine. I have had no unmolding problems at all. The front soap is a seized batch, I saved it but cut the ugly tops off, which is why they are small. The ones behind are from the WSP 8" log, and are more accurate to how bars look. I will go take a better pic in a bit...

    Watermelon Slice anyone??

Those are awesome!!! I can't even fathom how you did that! You could get a small flower cookie cutter and use it to take a little "bite" off the watermelon--since it's MP, you could even save the red piece to remelt--or you can put 10 bites in a bag and call them "Watermelon Bites...

    Which oils stay mostly white?

Lard, tallow, coconut--the 100% coconut bars (with 20% SF) make really nice white bars. Lard bars are very white, too. Be careful with baby powder FO, some of it discolours to tan--I made a really nice one with pink swirlies not knowing it would be tan with pink swirls in a short while...

"The Baggy Method" of Re-batching.... Any Tips?!?!

Also...do not let the water boil out of the pot, or come in contact with your bag. It makes a huge soapy mess! LOL Definitely use strong bags, too. I cannot do this method with cheap freezer bags. It works best with good, strong, ziplock freezer bags.

Lavender Curls (so much fun to make!)

If you don't know the answer to that, you shouldn't be selling it at all. As of September 12, you had made 8 batches. Your first soap is not even cured yet, and you are selling it???? And you live in Canada, and you managed to set up a soap business already? This isn't like your other...

Lavender Curls (so much fun to make!)

Those are really nice--they turned out great. I don't think you should have four day old soap on sale on etsy, though.

Found a place to get all sorts of stuff

Those kind of stores are great if you need something NOW--otherwise, you will save yourself a lot of money shopping with a reputable oil supplier.

Water is better than vinegar for caustic lye exposures

You guys can argue about it all you want, but if you get lye solution on your skin, you should rinse it with water, not vinegar. That is simple fact. If it's on the counter, use vinegar. Watch what happens....and see if you want that to be your skin instead. ycart, good you brought this up.

    Oh honey, beehive! Soap

GORGEOUS!! I was one of the private emailers  Turns out I already have the texture sheet--I had the idea a while ago, just never followed up on it. Here is an ebay seller that has them, I have bought from her before and was very pleased (no gouging on shipping either!--even to...

Video of me making Beer soap

I wouldn't call that a seize, it looks like the EOs accelerated trace. A seize would be a giant clump of soap, no stick blending possible. I liked your videos, you are fun to watch!

    WSP Coconut and Pear

I have an FO that I am waiting to bloom as well. Tons of replies on the SSRB saying how wonderful it is. Smells like plastic, molded and unloved mixed in with eau de dump.
