Pomace is great in castile soaps as it traces much faster than regular olive oil. Using a 40% lye concentration increases trace too.

Hi and welcome, Do you have any silicone cake molds. You can buy a cheap square one for $6 in Crazy Clarks and they unmold really easily. Just spray with cooking spray first. Cheers

Hi, Not that I am any expert, but with such a high percentage of olive oil just be aware that it may take quite a while to trace. I made a similar recipe as my second batch and it took about 1 1/2 hours to reach trace, and that was after overheating my stick blender. A simpler recipe that...

Hi, I tried a shampoo bar recipe that I found on this site using 100% coconut oil, 20% superfat, made with goats milk. It looks great and I can't wait to try it out. Must be patient though, another 5 weeks to go! I'll let you know how it goes. Cheers
