Hi all of you smart soapy people! I've searched for the answer to this and can't seem to find it, sorry if it has already been answered elsewhere. My question is, if I make a batch high in coconut (30%) do I have to do a high super fat even if I use a high amount of Shea? I am hoping for a...
Seven, I'm on the same page with you! I was trying to be prudent in how I worded it, but in my mind there were invisible quotation marks around the word "accident" lol!! They have to shake all the copyists off their trail somehow :-)
Regarding the labeling of ingredients on aforementioned Bronner's bar... could it also be possible that whoever was in charge of printing the labels just got the olive oil and the mint oil swapped on accident?
My questions exactly, Hazel! Not sure why they call it Castille, except maybe obvious marketing purposes. I guess I'm confused because I thought if one were to include salt in a bar, they would use it in much larger quantities that what the Dr. Bronner bar seems to indicate by being close to...

Hi all, just a random question that I haven't been able to find the answer to by searching the forum, maybe I just missed it...
When looking at the ingredient list of lots of different handmade soaps I come across, especially by some of the larger companies in the handmade soap business, I...
Thanks so much for the replies!! The reason I melt that much at one time is because of the cost savings per pound in buying 50lbs at once...however, during winter, after half a day in the garage it is rock solid and waaaay too hard to scoop. "Chisel" would be a better word :)
