Hi all !
I want to use wood ash lye this time in my soaping.What must the rate be?Let's say that normally I use %30 water of total oil.Is it ok if I use wood ash lye water same amount or should I use more?Any help will be appreciated.

I've not read up on using hand-made lye lately, but I think the ratio of lye to water in the hopper is pretty important also. You might want to find a recipe that calls for handmade lye that tells you what ratio to use. I think, also that liquid hand-made lye is potassium hydroxide, as opposed to sodium hydroxide.
