Hi all, I wanted help with this problem i am facing in candle making. I'm getting white spots and uneven coloring in my candle. I use wax by scrapping from normal household candles; crayons for coloring; aroma and pour into glass jars. The coloring is even initially but after leaving overnight these white patches come.
Another question, i also noticed that after cooling down the wax layer at top isnt even, it kind of sinks in from the middle (around where the wick is).
Any help to resolve above problems is appreciated. Thanks

You can't troubleshoot without knowing what type of wax you are using, you also need to know the temperature you are pouring at. Essentially you are repurposing someone elses work. You would be better off starting fresh and make your own. The hole in the centre could be caused from the cooling rate and the white wax could be caused from not mixing correctly. It's all guessing without knowing your procedure.
