when do i add my FO?
im doing Cold Prossesing.
My lye water and my oils are almost to room temp.

1) when do i add my FO to the oil? or should i wait until i almost get a trace then add my FO>
2) i accidently warmed up all my oils to turn my lard into liquid - so i warmed up CO,OO,castor oil, did i mess this step up by warming up all my oils+lard together?:oops:
or is it fine that all the oils+lard were in the microwave together?

i would add the FO to the oils and mix before adding the lye.
No, you didn't mess up anything by heating all the oils together.

You can add your FO to your oils before adding your lye or after adding your lye but before stick blending. Some folks add their FO after stick blending and separating for colors ... I don't unless it's a FO that I know will behave well. So my normal process has been to add my FO just before stick blending in case it causes acceleration.

Normally, you will want to melt only your hard oils and add your liquid oils after you have melted things like lard, CO, butters. As long as you haven't scorched your liquid oils, you should be OK.
