What to add to cedarwood

I love the smell of cedarwood(Virginian), I'm making some wax tarts and have added some grapefruit EO. Not right though, need something else, or ditch the grapefruit and add another citrus. Any suggestions ? Or should I be looking for a different group of aroma?

What does cedarwood plus lavender smell like? Just thinking out loud here.. I have no experience with mixing things like this. I did use a lavender/tea tree blend once but it came in the bottle like that.

Do you need to use proportionally more or less cedarwood mixed with citrus?

Lemongrass and lavender are two I've used and like. The lemongrass especially can hold its own with the cedar.

Well - I'd better get my q tips out and do some testing, will try some lavender as suggested, maybe Cederwood orange and clove(get ready for christmas)

Haven't got atlas cedarwood, but I'm intrigued now!! I've got the lemongrass(who hasn't), so I'll test that too.

Sweet orange blends well with cedarwood.

Try 2 parts bergamot and 1 part cedarwood.
It will be citrusy at first, but over time the top note (bergamot) will fade and it will be very nicely balanced.
