I made a batch of soap and placed it in the oven to go through gel phase. When I checked in it, it appeared to be sweating so I removed it. Now there are tiny holes all around it. Attached are photos and recipe.
It just got too hot. These spots are what's known as 'silicone rash'. I've had it a couple of times but not as severe as that. It will be fine to use.
Did you do anything different to usual? What the oven hotter? did you use as accelerating fragrance? Either of these could have caused it.
Thank you for replying. I turned thr oven on 170 degrees, turned it off and put it right in. I made a small soap and left that out and that one was fine. I used a fragrance from Rustic Essentials called Icy Peppermint. My oven did smell just like it. No problem using the fragrance oil.
