This has probably been addressed before, but I couldn't find anything about it on "search" today. I know you can add titatium oxide or something like that, but I don't have any. I am making a chocolate soap with white "icing" and my base soap is pretty ivory. What does starch or baking soda do? I have my lye mixed already as well as all my oils. I am anxious to make this and don't want to wait to order something. Thought something in my kitchen cabinet might work.
Thanks, Jean

I didn't mean to post this question here. Ian, can you change it for me. I thought I was posting under general soaping questions.
Thanks, Jean

Just wondering, if you can use dark chocolate squares, why
can't you use white chocolate squares.

That's a good idea! I wonder how much it would take to turn the soap mixture white? I used plain ole' cocoa today for the chocolate layer, about 3 Tbs. to a 2 lb. batch. I don't think it is going to be real dark, but that's okay. Probably the chocolate squares would have been better.
Thanks, Jean
