What are your favorite sandalwood scents?

I need a good scent as a request from a friend of a friend. I loath patchouli so I'm trying to avoid that but considering he's willing to buy a whole loaf of it, I'll deal.

Which sandalwood based masculine scents sell well/are favorites of yours? What name and company?

Mysore Sandalwood from Oregon Trails is amazing! Soaps well and has great scent retention. Plus this company is a dream to work with - excellent customer support!!

Oakmoss Sandalwood from Crafter's Choice.


I make this blend for my son:
1 part myrrh EO
1 part frankincense EO
1 part patchouli EO
3 parts sandalwood FO

I use the OT Mysore Sandalwood. I have also used one from Symphony Shack, and MMS that were nice. I really like using sandalwood but it is a much softer scent than patchouli. It is too soft on its own for many people. I like it best in blends. My go to blend uses patchouli EO and a lavender sage FO.

I really liked sandalwood bourbon, but the scent is not as strong as it used to be, so retention in soap is not great.....it is made by Bulk Apothecary.

I found a new scent I really like this weekend....bourbon, cypress, and tobacco. I really like this one!
