What’s this discolouration?

Just cut this loaf. The recipe is the same I always use with familiar EOs, but there’s some odd discolouration (the lighter areas) on some bars, and only in the yellow (which was the top in the mold) later. Any ideas at what causes this?

Hopefully it’s just appearance and doesn’t mean the lye reacted improperly or something.

I'm thinking the white swoopy patterns might be caused by not scraping the sides of the soap pot and then getting those scrapings mixed back into the main batter before pouring. If you pour, and then scrape the sides into the mold, the soap on the sides of the pot can be a little different than the rest and can cause this kind of thing.

Not sure that's the trouble, but that's what coming to my mind. The soap is otherwise just fine, if that's the situation.
