I was soaping away today, and my mind must have been somewhere else ...I used WAY too much French pink clay in my soap. I usually use 15g ppo, but I used 30g ppo. When I was mixing I thought the color looked too dark, then I realized what I did. I was going for a pale pink b/c it is Japanese Cherry Blossom FO. I guess I am going to have to come up with a different name.
Midnight Japanese Cherry Blossom?...lol

What can I expect out of a soap with that much pink clay in it? Will that much extra clay make the soap more drying when compared to my regular amount?

Thanks for your insight!

I am new to this forum, but pictures tomorrow, after I cut.

...if I can figure it out how to post pictures...lol

I cut after 24 hours. The soap was a lot more crumbly than my soap usually is.
It is a nice color though.
I am still not sure about the name. It is mainly Japanese cherry blossom. I added a touch of pink grapefruit, which really seems to be coming out. I am going to let things settle down over the next week and then see where the fragrance is....Maybe Pomegranate Blossom?

It's getting harder than usual. I guess maybe that's because of the extra clay.

Its a very nice color, I hope it works out for you!
