Hi everyone,
I’m a complete newbie to candle making and I’m unsure whether I’m doing it correctly so any advice would be much appreciated.
I am using soy wax and melting to 70 then adding fragrance oil at 65 does This sound correct?
Also the main part I am stuck on is how much fragrance oil per 100g of soy wax? I’ve seen that it says to add 6-10% but am unsure how to actually measure 6%?

what I did was 300g of soy wax and 15ml of fragrance oil does this sound too much or too little?

many thanks in advance

I purchase my candle fragrance oils from a U.S. company, CandleScience. Their instructions are to add the oil at 185F or 85C.
The 6% is by weight. So 6% fragrance load for 300g would be 18g.
Also, you will want to let the candle cure for at least 2 weeks before burning for the best fragrance throw.
Enjoy your candles!
Thank you for your reply:)
