I recently started making wax melts and the ones I just made are breaking really easily. Like you pick it up out of the clamshell mold and it's basically falling apart. They are also extremely hard/dense compared to other wax melts I've bought. Does anyone know what I'm doing wrong for this to happen? I used golden wax 494 soy wax for wax melt and tarts from the flaming candle

First let me say that I have not used GW494, so this may not be applicable. I know that I found when using the clamshells, that I had to mix 50/50 soy wax and paraffin to get them to come out cleanly. When I used decorative shapes I needed to freeze the mold with the wax in it, to get it to pop out.

Hope this helps.
