What is the best way to dry out sticky vanilla beans and how many do I use per 16 oz oil for a fragrant infusion to use in perfume, balm, or other formulations please? I know if I use it in soap the scent won't stay but was hoping to use it in other things. Thanks so much in advance if you have any tips. :) Afraid of getting botulism if they aren't dried out and these are very fresh.

If you are going to make an infusion right away, you don't need to dry them. I have never dried mine and have had them for at least 3 or 4 years (got a large quantity all at once). I vacuum seal them and am done until I am ready to use. They are perfectly good and I use them more for edible applications than anything.
