Using glass container as a mold?

Can this be done? Would I need to line the glass with plastic wrap so it releases?

I wanna make more soap, but my one TOG mold is tied up today. Curses!

Yes, Line the glass. I use glass An line it with plastic wrap. I am waitting to receive my TOG mold. Should be arriving soon. I can't wait.

I'd be very careful using glass. Temps get soooooooo high during gel. I've heard of glass containers breaking when mixing lye into water, so I'm sure it could happen during gel as well.

I use my glass baking dishes all the time. I havn't had any brake on me.

pyrex will stand up to extreme heat and changes (for the most part). this is what glass baking dishes are.

I would coat my heavy duty pan with crisco and go for it!
