Used my new laundry soap this weekend

It was 70% lard & 30% coconut, no superfatting. I scented it with sweet orange.

Hubby grated it up, I combined it with some borax and washing soda. I used some diluted vinegar in the rinse cycle The loads came out nice and clean with a light orange scent. I am hooked!

I like homemade laundry soap. Whites get dingy after a few washes and will require bleach, but I had the same problem with Tide.

So sorry to intrude but I am wondering if you can make home made dishwashing powder with borax and washing soda and it cleans the dishes can you also use the same combination for laundry powder without adding anything else to it for it to clean the clothes?
