I have some soap that is lined with wax paper and I can't get it off without it ripping into tiny pieces and leaving some of it on the soap. Is there anything that can be done to release the paper from the soap?

You might try steaming it off, or putting it in hot water for a couple of minutes to soak it off. But, lesson learned about wax paper, yes?

yeah, i learned the hard way about wax paper as well!

It was a lot easier for me to just cut the edges of the soap that had the wax paper - the soap bar was a wee bit smaller, but it saved me the headache of trying to pick out all the wax paper.

now I use zip loc bags, cut open so I get a nice long sheet of plastic.
then I wash the bags along with my equipment, so I get to reuse the bags a few times!

Yep, me too! Learned the hard way. I also use the cut ziploc bags to line my molds. Just makes lifting the log easier.
