UK safety assesments,

Hello friends, I'm a UK based soap maker, I wonder if you can help me with a couple of things. I'm currently awaiting safety assessments to return for my soap recipes. I have started making bath tea using dried botanical essential oils and dead sea mineral salts. I was wondering do I still need a safety assessment for these and to post the recipes on the EU portal before I can sell? Also, If I'm buying certain goods wholesale to sell on retail, am I right in thinking that I only need a copy of the wholesalers safety assessment or is there any other additional information I need to retain at my place of business?

If they are cosmetics, yes to both.

As for selling something retail, yes, you can use the SA of the supplier, as long as it is EU compliant. They should also be the ones registering it online, if it is a finished labelled product.
