My wife is a massage therapist and wants to have some soaps to offer clients. She's interested in trying a transparent soap. Is it worth the time to do it from scratch or are the melt and pour kits a good option?

Making it yourself is expensive. There are some post regarding making it yourself on here. If you purchase MP be sure to purchase from a reputable company. Don't buy the kits from Michael's or other chain craft store. Those do not have quality soap in them. Check out companies like Wholesale Supplies Plus, Brambleberry, Nature's Garden or Candle Science. They have kits you can purchase to see if you like it.

I agree with Shunt2011. It would be more economical to purchase a good base from Brambleberry or Wholesale Supplies Plus and scent and color it yourself than to make it from scratch.
