I made a batch of soap today. I did an espresso scented soap with coffee grounds and everything went normal, but I noticed when I put my cphp soap in the oven to sit in it’s molds, an hour later there was a small pool of liquid. I mixed to around medium trace and I also soaped pretty hot so I don’t believe I was at a false trace. I looked now which is about 4 hours after I made it and they haven’t grown but are slightly still there. Some liquid may have absorbed back into it but I am not sure. Here is my recipe:

Water 487g
Lye 240g
Lard 1418
Coconut oil 224
Castor oil 86

False trace is less about the temperature of your soap batter and whether or not the oils/butters and lye solution have stable emulsion. And the correct terminology for soap processed via the over is CPOP (cold process oven process).

The small pools of liquid could be caused by your soap overheating a bit, it could cause by not getting your fragrance completely mixed it. Give it 48 hours.
