do you always test for the Ph level in your soaps? I think I'll have to get a family member to send some strips as the pharmacies (in France), so far as the ones I've tried, haven't got them!
 
I don't test mine. As long as it doesn't zap, then I figure it's all right. Then I let mine cure for at least 4 weeks but normally I let soap cure for 6 weeks.

I'm the same as Hazel. If it doesn't zap, then it's all good to go on the curing rack.
 
testing for ph

how do you test for the zap? Just put your tongue on the soap? (btw, I have done that :oops: but wasn't sure?....) it hasn't zapped so we've been using it
 
I run a little water over my finger, rub it on the soap and then put my finger to my tongue.
