Tea tree oil

Hi all,looking for info on TTO for PPO.Will be making 6lb batches.
have noticed different amounts,leaning toward 1-1/4 oz TTO for the 6lb batch.Any thoughts or comments would be welcome.Regards,Steve

Tea Tree Oil

The TTO is of the pharmaceutical grade

I've used it at 3% oil weight with good results. The TTO smell is very strong at first, then fades to almost nothing after 18 months or so.

I could never use TTO at 3%. I have soap with 1.5% that is almost 2 years old and very strong still. May depend on where the TTO is coming from.

I have been getting mine from Sun Botanicals on ebay, which is a very nice Tea Tree Oil, which I use at the rate of 0.9oz per lb of oil. Tea Tree in soap will start out very strong but will start fading in 6-8 months, so I choose to make it on the strong side
