Hi, I am thinking about buying sulfur powder sublimed from Amazon to make my own sulfur soap / shampoo bar. Sulfur can fight acne and seborrhoeic dermatitis. The concentration which is normally being used is 5-10%.

Is there anything that I need to know when using sulfur to make soap? Should I add it at trace or before? Can I let the soap gel or should I avoid it? Anything else I forgot? Sorry for all these questions.

I made a sulphur soap about a year ago and it was SO STINKY!!! I even let it cure to see if the smell would go away but it never did and i finally admitted defeat and pitched it. I only did it at 5% and it was still unusable. If you make it and it works better I would love to hear about it.

Thanks for your reply.

I found a sulfur powder at amazon which should be less stinky. It has lots of positive reviews. So I am going to order this today. :)
