Hi all! For those that use the split method for milk soaps, is there a way to prevent soda ash? I had very little when i froze the milk and added lye to it. Split method produced the ashiest soap I’ve ever made. Thank you for your wisdom!

I dunno. I use full milk as my liquid for my milk soaps and I don't freeze it first. I actually just had to grab my last OMH soap so see if I had ash cause I didn't remember if it did or not. I have a little on the top. It is a very small amount. I use 33% lye concentration.
