Solid Lotion Magnesium Bar Recipe??

Hi,

Has anyone made, have recipes for or ideas about making either CP soap or a solid lotion bar with Magnesium Chloride Powder or Magnesium Sulfate.

Appreciate you help please.

I don't know how to add the link, but search Epsom salt bars in this forum, and there's great info. Consensus seems to say no.Deeanna, our resident scientist explains why. Hope this helps!

Unfortunately, those are 2 kinds of salts that don't do well in soap. Many have tried to make salt soaps with either of them, but were left with horribly weeping soap.

I've never tried either of them in a lotion bar so I don't know how something like that would turn out, but for what it's worth, I've used magnesium chloride (the same kind of salt as what's in the Dead Sea) in salt scrubs and they came out great.
