Do you estimate that the addressee would worry about such ashy/salty effect colour shenanigans? Or is it rather just your healthy perfectionsim that keeps you from just accepting the bars as-is?

Haha healthy perfectionism… that makes me feel better to be honest. No she loves them - have sent a pic and didn’t mention it and she didn’t ask (and probably won’t). She ordered 15 dozen bars and has been very responsive to my suggestions. She’s one of my childhood “camp friends” - I mentioned way back in May - when I made camp themed soaps for all of them.

Just one dozen of this flavor. I’m thinking I’ll just go with it they look okay after steaming.

Possibly something to do wiht the Kaolin clay and/or glycerin rivers/stearic swirls?

Interesting! Ive had this happen too and I soap pretty cool. Could stearic swirls be apart of that? Ive heard of spots but not swirls. Would make sense though!

I think it’s from too much sodium lactate, but I don’t know what the mechanism is.
