10 tablespoons of (bruised) juniper berries
30 cardamom pods
1 tablespoon dried rose petals
5 teaspoons coriander seeds
peel from 1 lemon
a good pinch of lavage seed
3L of vodka at 40% ABV.

Infuse for as long as you wish. 2 days is adequate. 2 weeks is also pallatable.

It does get better with age. I would strain it and store it in a glass bottle for 6 months or a year.
...but it never lasts that long.

Do you find a difference depending on the quality of vodka?
Brand certainly. "Quality" is a much more difficult thing to gauge and it's relatioship to price or brand can only be subjective. For example, some folk think high quality vodka should be crisp and flavour-free. The less expensive brands tend to have flavours in them which, conversely, I (sometimes) quite like.
Also, sometimes the more expensive vodkas have a higher alcohol content, and they don't macerate quite the same way.
Time is a big factor. Two key timings are how long you leave the herbs in and secondly, how long you leave the herbs out before you drink it.
