Would anyone know where I could take a soapmaking class?

I live in Maryland.

Also, what are the best books on soapmaking? Any recommendations?

Sorry not in Maryland, but some good books to try are; The Handmade Soap Book by Melinda Cross and The Soapmaker's Companion by Susan Miller Cavitch.
