I'm making my first batch of soap in my Minnesota home today! I laughed when I had to practically chisel my coconut oil out of its bucket. I used to just pour it when we lived in Florida. So far, everything else is working out beautifully. I used brewed coffee in place of water for today's soap, and I was tickled that it cooled so quickly when I put it outside after brewing it.

So my biggest question (so far) about soaping in the Twin Cities area is whether there is a base oil supplier here. Are there any Twin Cities soapers on here? I'd love to find a local supplier of coconut, palm, and olive oils so that I can avoid the $20 per pail shipping charges on the 5 gallon buckets. If anyone has any ideas, I'd greatly appreciate it. Thank you!
