Any tips on getting soap scum and residue off silicone molds? I got some used molds and even after scrubbing with hot soap and water, there is scummy residue around the pattern on the bottom.
I really don't want to take a toothbrush to 26 separate molds.

Some of my silicone moulds also get soap scum in the details that I can not remove. Please tell me what CLR is.

I ended up using clr. It worked ok, got all the sticky gunk off the pattern. I did use a toothbrush though, just to make sure. Next time, I'll try lye.

Hot water and Dawn dish soap and a veggie brush. Cuts the greasy film and keeps everything squeaky clean!

Tried that, didn't work. Its more then just greasy film, I think its hard water deposits or soap scum.mixed with oil.
Its dang near impossible to remove, vinegar doesn't touch it either.
