I was curious if laminated pieces of wood could be used for molds in hopes I wouldn't have to line it with paper? My thoughts were the super smooth and shiny sides would help keep it from sticking. I just opened a retail storecand tge previous tenant left a bunch of laminated and non laminated shelves. Thought I would get some feedback from you all first.
Thanks.

Since u have them and they were free give it a go! The issue that you may have is if moisture gets to the particle board back.

Formica was discussed awhile ago but I don't know if anyone tried it. Since these are laminate, I don't think it's quite the same. I suggest putting a couple ounces of raw soap on one of the laminated boards and leaving it set until the next day. It would be a test and you wouldn't lose an entire batch if it didn't work.
