Soap Making party?

Has anyone ever done a soap making party/class? Thought it would be a good idea for girls night out or group project.
What are your takes on this and how did it work for you? Is it worth it?

Your first concern would be it your insurance will cover you, not only for personal injury but for property damage.

Given the amount of drinking that usually occurs when I get together with my girlfriends, the most complicated thing I would attempt would be a salt or sugar scrub

I agree with seawolfe, I'd go with something that doesn't involve accurate measurements and caustic ingredients. Perhaps bath bombs, sugar scrubs or bath salts.

Oh I just remembered! We did do bathbombs once at a party - I did a batch to prove it could be done in a few minutes. That actually went pretty well.

You could do a simple M&P. Melt, add some colour and scent and put into single moulds.
