Soap Cupcakes...can you use the paper liners?

Hi everyone I'm wondering if anyone has made soap cupcakes (mini ones) and poured the batter directly into the little paper cups, and if so, how does it work? Does the paper get soggy or squished looking ...or get stuck to the soap?

I did this it was half turned out half I had to soak the paper off and ruined the look. Silicone liners did much better.

I found silicone cupcake liners at Walmart in small package.
