I just happened to read the label on my "vegetable oil" it says that it is soybean oil... Question is: Can I use this to soap? I know this is probably a silly question, but all the same I value your opinions... :)

There are no silly questions.

This is a great site site to spend some time - http://millersoap.com/ There is a huge amount of info and helps to tie things in together. Make sure to visit the FAQ pages. I learned so much at this site and I still learn or pick up something every time go there.

Yes!

You certainly can. My favorite oils to work with are these. Shea, coco butter, mango butter, castor oil, rose hip seed oil, olive butter, olive oil, fruit oil, palm oil, palm kernal oil, coconut oil (dont use too much! 25% is sufficient) hazelnut oil, avocado oil, jojoba oil. Have fun experimenting!
