Lol! And to think I was feeling mildly guilty about taking over two of the kitchen cupboards for soapy supplies!

What I would love is to have the space to park a 20' - 25' travel trailer and turn that into a 'studio'.

And if you sell at markets, you wouldn't have to pack anything, just drive the 5th wheel down!

Still a work in progress but it's so nice to have my own space to soap. The white board wall is my favorite part!

I'll have to get photos after my "expansion". My Xmas gift from my guy was an additional countertop and shelf underneath for soapmaking. I use our farmstand kitchen for soapmaking (and vegetable/egg washing, herb drying, nuking a lunch) and I have about 4' of countertop with shelves on which to soap, and sometimes I take over the stovetop as a counter. I found a bakery rack online, and my guy made me some drying racks that fit on it; they double as soap and herb drying racks. This image was to show someone all my herb shelves, but at the bottom you can see my soaping area.

The herbs are so awesome!!

Is the white board hanging in the wall or is it painted? That’s an awesome idea!

Just an aside:
I do not recommend white board paint unless you can get a completely smooth finish. The marker ink settles into every little divot in the surface and is nearly impossible to clean out. Also, if you don't frame out the area, ink can get wiped from the "board" onto the wall paint around it. Very disappointing.

I have a room that I use for my soaping. Although it is getting jam packed. I need more shelving. It is a spare room that I used for Ebay. Now it's officially a soap room! I haven't done any decorating nor have I made any asthetic changes to the room. It is simply a soap room. I am proud of it though. I have a cart on wheels that I roll to the kitchen when I am making soap and all my ingredients have been placed on the cart for my convienience. It works for me and I only have two walls that I can put products on. The other two walls have water heat vents along the wall. I made those walls to house my shipping supplies and the back of my work station. It's only been a year now and I am outgrowing this area. Next move, who knows. Maybe start putting a few shelves in my dining room. I do want to avoid that so maybe some high shelves above the racks for stuff I don't use as often.. I also made room for my two Rotties that I loved so much. They stay with me in my Soaproom. We lost Bear in 2009 and Sadie in 2021. My work station is just repurposed bifold doors on top of a bottom of a trundle bed frame with drawers. The shelves underneath the work table is just some old wobbley shelf units I took apart and supported. (I found them in the garbage!!) I do know I have too many EO's. I have at least 50 and about 20 FO's. Still trying to come up with signature scents. If I had to do it all over again, I will have ordered only 10. But still to this day I am ordering more because I think I might use them, LOL. I also like to recycle. I use the bottoms of cat food trays (cardboard) and line them with glassine paper and dry my soaps on that. I can reuse them several times. Currently using several for my new additions to the soap line. Making candle melts. Recycle and Reuse if possible. Every little bit helps.

I'm loving everyone's spaces. There are lots of interesting ideas in this thread!
I wish at some point I will have a bit more space for a dedicated soaping area or at least a handy cart. I currently live in a small studio apartment so I'm also team soaping-in-the-kitchen! All my supplies are stored in a few cardboard boxes (quickly decopauge'd to tell them apart from the others) under the bed. I'm dreaming of a white... board wall soaping space now 😁

I love seeing everyone’s Work Spaces! Great Job everyone! I converted my Jack & Jill Suite into my Workspace. One Bedroom for my Office & Supply Closet. My Bath or Other Bedroom as my Lab. I use my Linen Closet to store my Soaps. I think I’m finally content with my Space!

Oh, I have also thought of this! I was dreaming of a real gypsy vardo that I could take to fairs and markets.

This fun thread is what finally inspired me to post to the forum. It’s amazing seeing all the different workstations, and I’m pretty envious of all the space (and supplies) most of you have!

I’m in a small Manhattan apartment, so I have a shelving setup (which also holds my books, craft supplies, and spices) where I do my soaping in a corner of my living room. There are 3 more deep drawers under the one shown for molds/bowls/cutters, soaps, and oils. A window nearby is where I mix my lye, and I use the kitchen microwave for heating up my oils.

This is my "soaping cart"; I got it from Walmart:

It sits flat against the wall next to an outlet. I have a Command Hook for my apron and Stick Blender and a 36" shelf above it. On top I have a15"x20"Poly Cutting Board with "juice well" on a rubber mat. When I first got it, everything fit inside it...bowls, molds, ingredients, stuff. I used clear, stackable shoe boxes for my butters and hard oils and it was a simple matter just to pull out an ingredient, weigh it in the bowl and put it back and grab the next one. The right side rack held Castor Oil, Sodium Lactate, Sodium Hydroxide and 4 oz plus bottles of FOs. On the left is a towel bar where I hang bottles of IPA, Orange Cleaner and White Vinegar. The shelf was added when I could no longer keep all my colorants and small bottles of FO in one of the drawers so it's now where I keep all my colorants. All the FOs moved to a rack in the garage:

I bought it to hang on the door like in the above photo, but I forgot that the door to the garage is an exterior, no interior door...so it's now mounted on the wall.

We would like to create a work space in the garage. I had a section from a friend's kitchen remodel set aside for me, but it's gone now due to the pandemic. It would be a little bit of a PITA since I wouldn't have access to running water in the garage as I like to clean as I go, but I would have more work space and wouldn't have to carry freshly filled molds into the garage.
