I will never buy my soap bases at Amazon. Instead of a brick, they sent me lump of Shea butter, when I asked for a brick for M&P. It was hard to work. Now I have the softest hands in Canada. Took longer to melt, taking a long time to develop a skin. Am waiting to add my second layer. Used mica copper to go with the yellow colour of the first batch, instead of charcoal. This is totally a big experiment.
Are you supposed to add a portion of the butter in white soap?

What a disaster! I had to use a spoon to unfold it. Well, lesson learned.
