Hi,
After searching the forum i have not yet found info on this, what is call 'selective superfatting'.
Let's say i were to make a soap with 40% coconut oil, 40% lard and a 20% specialty oil lik shea butter, with a superfat of 5%.
Would it be a good idea to saponify the coconut oil and lard to trace first and only then add the shea butter to maximize the shea butter's effect?
Would this method result in the 5% superfat to be mostly shea butter?
What do you think of this?

If you want a specific oil to be your superfat you will have to add it after saponification has completed. To do that you must either use hot process or re-batch some bars that have hardened and pass the zap test.
