Standard SMF swap rules apply. (see next post)

Since it seemed quite a few people were put off by the size/complexity, I've decided to tone it down a bit, since it's our first SMF Secret Santa.

Priority Mail 2-Day™ Small Flat Rate Box
    USPS-Produced Box: 8-5/8" x 5-3/8" x 1-5/8"
Shipping is $7.20 from Alabama to California, to give you an idea of shipping costs.

    2) Contents should include
    - Card or post card
    - 1 soap (more than 1 is fine, but at least 1)
    - 3 non soap Bath and Body items (more is fine)
    - something with sparkle (glitter, mica, etc)

To sign up, send me a PM that answers these questions. I will forward the info to your Secret Santa.

    Real Name
    SMF Handle

    SMF Swap Rules

    1) DISCLAIMER: SMF is not responsible for any swap, sale, trade, co-op, pre-buy, fast buy, garage sale, ad or other transactions between members. Those who sign up for any of these, do so at their own risk and are themselves fully responsible for the results, whether good or bad.

    2) Above disclaimer must be posted at the beginning of each swap, sale, trade, co-op, pre-buy, fast buy, garage sale, ad or other similar transactions.

    3) In order to participate in a swap or to post any sale, trade, co-op, pre-buy, fast buy, garage sale, ad or other similar transaction. SMF requires that all of the following criteria be met:

.... active membership of at least 3 months
.... a minimum of 50 posts. 'Fluff' posts written with the sole intention of boosting post numbers do not apply.
.... no infractions incurred within any 3 month period leading up to participation in any of the above mentioned activities.
.... those who have previously signed up or participated in any of the above mentioned activities and have dropped out without a valid/reasonable excuse, and/or did not deliver on their end of the bargain, are disqualified from participating in any of the said activities for up to a year.

    4) Swaps are to be hosted by mods only at this time. An exception may be made if a member meets the following criteria:

.... permission from the mod team
.... minimum 100 posts. 'Fluff' posts written with the sole intention of boosting post numbers do not apply.
.... minimum 6 months active membership in good standing (i.e., with no infractions incurred in any 6 month period leading up to a swap)
.... those who have signed up or participated in any previous swap, sale, trade, co-op, fast buy, pre-buy, garage sale and/or any other transactions between members within the past year, and have dropped out without a valid/reasonable excuse, and/or did not deliver on their end of the bargain, are disqualified from hosting a swap.
.... host must accept all signees to the swap who meet the qualifications listed under swap rule #3 above (provided there are still open spaces on the swap list to be filled). In other words, refusal to admit any signee who qualifies could be considered harassment and will place the swap in danger of being shut down. SMF reserves the right to shut down any swap for reasons of harassment.
.... host otherwise takes full responsibility for the running and outcome of the swap. She/he sets the theme of the swap, and also sets the criteria such as how large the swap will be (i.e. how many people may sign up), the deadline for closing the swap, and figuring out the logistics and handling of any postage/monies.

    5) Please PM a mod or admin if you want to suggest a swap.

    6) Please keep all sales, trade, co-op, pre-buy, fast buy, garage sale or similar ads relevant to the needs of this forum.

Mods reserve the right to delete any post that does not adhere to the above points at their discretion.

Multiple offenses may result in the deletion of your account & the banning of your IP.

Thank you for your cooperation in keeping this a safe & friendly forum.

    Something edible
    Something regional
A raw ingredient (1 oz of FO, a small baggie of color, etc)

Oooh, custom boxes per individual? Er, but I don't make non-soap bath items. Would small bought items be okay for the stuff someone doesn't make?

That's already gone on the list. Unless my recipient just hates florals, they'll get a couple of sample size vials of my Serenity blend, diluted to be suitable to wear as perfume at the very least. Depending on what my recipient's likes and dislikes are, I may also make up something on the spot for them (and possibly send enough to use in a few pounds of soap). But I only view perfume, even a couple of varieties, as one item. Guess now is a good time to venture into making lotion bars and body butters, huh?

Signing up regardless, but is it permissible to send a larger box?

I was actually sort of thinking the same thing. I'm making a list of stuff I want to send and I'm not certain it'll all fit into a small flat rate box.

Meant to reply to this earlier. I'd view 3 perfumes in 3 different scents as 3 items.

We all have SO MUCH SOAP I like to shake it up a bit!

When does it have to be shipped by? What if you haven't made your first block of soap by then?

Ship your packages between Nov 20 and 30. I think many of us will be making something special for our Giftee, so just label your soap with a made-on date so the recipient knows how long they should let it age.
