I bought some almond wax to use instead of beeswax in lotion bars, but was thinking I might add some to soap. I have tried googling but can't find the saponification value anywhere. Does anyone know what it is?

Hi Saponista - did you ever find an answer to this??

I bought some wax recently from gracefruit, and I noticed they provide product SAP values on their website:

http://www.gracefruit.com/butters-oils-and-waxes/waxes/almond-wax.html
^^
Clicking on the 'attachments' tab beneath the product picture will list 'Certificate of Analysis' .pdfs which show the SAP value of each particular batch.

Although having gone through some of those CoA's it seems that for their almond wax the SAP values appear to vary from 96 or thereabouts to about 190, so thinking about it now - if you didn't purchase from them - I'm not sure how useful this data would be to you

Well anyway I saw it, and thought of you
:)
