Rubbing Alcohol 😅

I made my first batch of lavender soap today but I forgot to spritz some rubbing alcohol on it. I know that there's possibility of soda ash build up, will that occur too if I immediately placed my soap in the refrigerator? Is there any relation to that?

Gelling seems to help prevent soda ash, but even if soda ash appears, you can just wipe it or steam it off the bars. It doesn't ruin the soap.

It looks lovely! If it's going to get ash, it will get ash. As @lsg states - gelling helps to prevent it. It will most likely only be the top that will get it, and being that it is textured and has lavender buds on it, it might be tricky to get it off.

Hi! Thank you! I used 2 tsp of Purple Mica. Although using micas on cold process soap does not retain the shimmer which micas are known for.

Thank you! I used Virgin Coconut Oil and Palm Oil both at 33%, the rest was divided for Olive Oil and Canola Oil.

Update! I placed my soap in the fridge immediately after this photo was taken. The gel phase was suppressed although that was not my intention. Below is the photo of the soap after I cut it.
