How long does ROE last? I bought a bottle like a year ago. Does it go bad?
What does your vendor say? Two months is not what was written as the suggested "best use-by date" on the last bottle I purchased.

Also, remember that 'Best Use-by date' is a suggestion and not written in stone. Many soapmakers use their ROE beyond that date and report no problems.

Lotioncrafter's ROE (also 7% Carnosic Acid) has a 2-year use by date per their website (I have bought there in the past as well.)

Crafter's Choice (from Wholesale Supplies Plus) ROE has a suggested 1-year 'best use by date (Carnosic Acid Content: 7%)

There are other vendors, but I list these 2 because I have purchased from them & I prefer the 7% Carnosic Acid Content as opposed the the lesser amount in some ROE from some other vendors, and/or from whom I have not purchased, or the use-by date wasn't as easily found just now when I looked them up online.

I got my small bottle from lotioncrafters. I mean it smells okay. How would one know if it was no longer good?

Jen, I don't really know how ones determines if it is no longer good. I have not had any go bad (as far as I could tell), so I'd just use it. Do you keep it in a cool dark place? When I carry it with me when I travel, I do keep it in a cooler because the inside of my car can get so hot, but at home I don't bother refrigerating it and have not had any problems beyond the 2 year point. I believe my first bottle lasted me about 4 years before I used it all up, and it seemed to be fine.
