An internet friend who is a soap maker posted this YouTube video showing how to make those cool rimmed soaps in a loaf mold. I've only seen the rimmed soaps in a round shape so far, so this was pretty cool! I think this was her first attempt, but I'd call it a success. I had to share!

Well that was pretty cool! I think she did a great job too and pouring the "rim" right onto parchment paper was perfect. I would have been looking around for a pizza box or something similar to use as a mold. Thanks for sharing!

That was really cool! She skipped over some bits though- does the poured rim need to gel? How long from pouring the rim slab to assembling the soap? I assume if you wait too long, the two parts might not stick together? I'd love to try this!
