Walking around home depot today (was looking for acrylic sheets) and happened upon the section where gutter pipes and fittings are....fast forward

Bought one 15 inch gutter tube, 2 end pieces that are open that fit into the pipe, a solid light plate and some JB Weld...

And now I have a soap mold

Will post pictures in a bit if anyone is interested

First Pic is the top cap (will leave open)
Second pic is the bottom cap JB welded to a solid face plate
third pic is all the pieces
fourth pic is assembled.

I still have a few gaps to fill in to make it fluid tight, but that should be easy with some flexible caulk

That is awesome! I love the fact that it has its own stand, and that it looks like you could let gravity help you in sliding the mold up. Have you used it yet? I am wondering if you had to line it, and how easy that was, if so.

Haven't used it yet, but will soon....I am going through major withdrawals waiting on colorant and oils and FOs....I ran myself out of stuff, so while I am waiting we are making molds.

I just realized my cat photobombed my last pic!
