Repurposing stick blender? soap to food?

Peeps, I got my new stick blender this week to replace one that had seal problems and making too many bubbles. Can I repurpose the old soap stick blender to the kitchen for food? After soaping sessions I would wash it on 'heavy cycle' in the dishwasher.

I have done exactly that, and we are still alive and pretty much healthy.

I’d be more concerned, honestly, about going the other way, and ending up with bits of dried or moldy food in my soap.
